Application projects define a project which will run as a graphical application on an operating system or device. Application projects should be used when you want to produce an executable program for a platform or device.
Windows Application
For Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, these projects are generated as Windows Applications.
Web Application
A Web application (Web app) is an application program that is stored on a remote server and delivered over the Internet through a browser interface.
Mobile Application
A mobile application, most commonly referred to as an app, is a type of application software designed to run on a mobile device, such as a Smartphone or tablet computer. Mobile applications frequently serve to provide users with similar services to those accessed on PCs.
